So you might have read the heading to this blog post and thought what is Velvotan? Well when my friend bought me round the product as a little gift last weekend I asked exactly the same question. Little did I know but Velvotan is actually a tanning company which have brought out this clever little self tanning device which apparently 'reaches those hard to get areas'- i.e your shoulders, back and any where else on your body you can't reach... This product is fantastic if you are someone who like me prefers to tan completely on your own in the comfort of your bathroom. Don't get me wrong I do love a nice spray tan every now and then but It has to be said the spray tanning equipment is not exactly portable. This little device is however, it can be carried any where so you can whip it out whenever you need to touch up.
I decided to do my research on this tanning company for all of you my clients and readers and I am going to be talking through the Self tan back applicator (as seen in the photo above) as well as some of the other products the company has available on the market.
The company has an official website which can be found HERE.
If you click on the ' our products' tab on the site it will give you some brief information about each one. So far they have 4 products in their collection including a self tanning and face tanning mitt, the self tan back applicator & a body polishing sponge. I am hoping to try some more of Velvotan's products early next week and when I do you guys will be the first to hear about it.
I found my product online on ebay.co.uk and It was very cheap at around £4.20 including p&p, you can find this product on this website for similar prices or you can find them on sites like feelunique.com and fragrance direct. I also have it on good faith that you can in fact purchase them in some of the bigger Tesco supermarkets (as this is where my friend first saw hers).
Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who struggles applying their fake tan evenly and if you are in a rush on a night out and can't get a friend to help! The product itself bends out and locks into place making it easy to reach the back areas, it also comes with a soft spongey cushion mitt which is stuck to one part of the applicator & you also get a free spare pad for when the other one gets a bit grubby. I think you can buy spares online as well just in case and they are also washable just like normal tanning mitts.
